Channel Syndicate 2015 at Lloyd’s (“Channel”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Nick Bennison as Class Underwriter of its Environmental Impairment Liability (“EIL”) division. Bennison takes up his new role with immediate effect and will report to Jim Finnamore,Head of Environmental Impairment Liability Insurance.
Bennison brings nearly three decades of industry experience to the role and has spent over 16 years specialising in environmental liability. He began his insurance career in 1986 at General Accident Fire & Life Assurance Corporation (Aviva) and in 1997 he became the company’s youngest Senior Liability Underwriter in its global corporate risks unit. Bennison then returned to university where he obtained a degree in environmental science and technology. He then joined Willis as an environmental consultant. In 2006, he joined Marsh subsequently heading up its UK environmental practice which provides specialist environmental broking and risk advice to all Marsh divisions both nationally and internationally.
