Ascent hires Mark Bowers as claims director
Ascent Underwriting, the specialist niche-product managing general agent, has appointed Mark Bowers as claims director with immediate effect.
Reporting to CEO David Umbers, Bowers will be responsible for maintaining and developing Ascent’s highly responsive and efficient claims service. Bowers, a solicitor by profession who formerly practised in the re/insurance department of an international law firm, brings over a decade of legal and technical claims experience to Ascent.
He joins from Tokio Marine Kiln where he served as head of financial and professional risks. With a strong customer-service ethos, Bowers’ areas of expertise include international coverage disputes, technical claims and business transformation projects.
