Jack Smith joins Advent Insurance Management as head of operations
Paul Bermingham becomes MD, as Jerry McArthur steps up to chairman
Advent Insurance Management (Advent), the insurTech-led Lloyd’s & London market service provider, has appointed Jack Smith to the newly created role of head of operations, effective immediately.
Smith brings over 35 years of insurance-market experience to Advent and will be based in its Chelmsford offices. Prior to Advent he worked for Tasker Insurance Group, where he held various roles since 2002, most recently as head of operations.
The move is part of a wider management team restructure designed to strengthen Advent during a period of rapid growth; founding partner Jerry McArthur has become chairman, with fellow founder Paul Bermingham assuming his former role as managing director.
Bermingham said: “Advent is growing rapidly, with projects such as the LMA’s Gemini expert-expenses management system and increasing adoption of our Advantage DA claims and reporting platform. The management changes announced today will fortify Advent during a period of accelerated growth, while crucially ensuring service continues to be seamless for our clients in London and worldwide.
