Canopius appoints Nattakorn Wattanaumphaipong Head Of Reinsurance Asia Pacific
Canopius today announces the appointment of Nattakorn Wattanaumphaipong (‘Natt’) as head of reinsurance Asia Pacific. He will join the Canopius Singapore office in January 2019 and report to Jamie Wakeling, CUO reinsurance.
Natt joins from Swiss Re where he has held multiple senior roles over a 13 year career including most recently head of property Asia ex Japan and China, and previously head of property & casualty China. He has broad experience across property, agriculture, casualty and other (re)insurance lines and brings with him an understanding of the issues faced by customers across all regional markets.

Biography:
Nattakorn Wattanaumphaipong (‘Natt’)
Natt has broad commercial experience across varied reinsurance lines. He began his insurance career at Swiss Re, before becoming the co-founder and director of a start-up company in Sydney, and then negotiating a successful sale of that business. He spent the following eight years at roles across Swiss Re, initially as senior property underwriter, then Head of Agricultural Reinsurance Asia Pacific (excl. Indian subcontinent), Head of P&C China and finally Head of Property Asia (excl. Japan and China). He has worked in Sydney and Beijing and is now based in Singapore.
