Canopius adds senior actuary to expanding APAC operation
Canopius today announces the appointment of Mark Heydon as senior actuary to its recently-established branch, Canopius Australia & Pacific in Sydney. Mark will begin on September 30th and report to Claudio Saita, head of Australia & Pacific, and to Thomas Delor, chief actuary Asia Pacific.
Having begun his career with Zurich Australia in 1993, Mark brings 26 years of experience to the role. He will join Canopius from specialist underwriting agency Sura. Before that he was chief actuary, Berkley Re Australia/Asia Pacific, and quantitative analysis leader, Benfield Advisory (Capital Markets) in London prior to that.
